Q.1 What are the characteristics that AIPL looks for in a candidate?
A. AIPL has an integrated approach towards recruitment, which looks at both skills and competencies. Competencies are personal characteristics that can be assessed in a clearly observable behaviour. Skills would refer to the expertise one has and is measured by demonstrated capability. This would refer to the academic achievements and the knowledge one gains over time. Both these aspects (skills and competencies) are looked at through the application blanks, group discussion and interviews that a candidate has to go through before he/she is selected.

A. AIPL would look at both availability of posts and location preferences of an individual before making a decision regarding the location to which one is sent.

Q.4 Can you elaborate the AIPL selection process?
A. AIPL first has a look at your CV, following which it does a short-listing. Based on this list a preliminary interview is conducted where further screening takes place. If you are selected at this stage, you would then be invited for a final interview which finally decides whether you are selected or not.
